Job Description:

GDIT is looking for a talented designer who can combine the duties of print and motion design to join the growing GDIT corporate marketing team. In this role you will create graphics and videos that reinforce the strong brand identity of the company, collaborating with the creative team, the wider marketing team and internal stakeholders. This hybrid role will give you the opportunity to developing and implementing innovative creative solutions for brand campaigns, brand identity, and marketing initiatives across various channels such as social, digital, print, videos, events, websites, and other marketing platforms.

A day in the life of a Junior Graphics/Motion Designer

  • Designing visuals within brand guidelines and company standards
  • Executing digital, print and motion graphics for marketing and talent campaigns
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand specific project goals and translating ideas into engaging visual narratives
  • Creating website and social motion graphics and videos in collaboration with the digital marketing team
  • Setting up, directing and operating video and photo equipment
  • Planning, filming, editing and finalizing videos that will be delivered to different communication channels
  • Helping with recording and editing podcasts
  • Act as an ambassador for the marketing team, demonstrating the value of creative initiatives
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high-quality designs within specified deadlines

Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related workplace experience or 6+ years of relatable work experience in lieu of degree
  • Proficient in Mac and Windows platforms
  • Experience in graphic layout and design with a portfolio of diverse projects
  • Strong grasp on filming, composition and editing video in keeping with corporate branding standards.
  • Proficient in design and motion/video software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, or Premiere Pro)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and rapidly shifting environment

  • This position is hybrid and will be in the office three days a week

The likely salary range for this position is $63,750 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
