Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a renewable energy focused non-profit organization who is seeking an Interim Controller to join their team on a contract to hire basis. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional travel to our offices in Ft. Pierce, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting for the full life-cycle of loans, including loan origination and servicing. Experience with non-profits, particularly with federal and state grants, is a plus.
 
Job Title: Controller
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Ft. Pierce, FL)
Compensation: $65.00 - $75.00/hour
Job Type: Contract to Hire
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on responsibility for the day-to-day accounting operations, supervision of staff, and monthly close.
• Oversee and manage the full life-cycle of loan accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with the finance team to enhance financial processes and reporting.
• Support the management of federal and state grants, if applicable.
• Ensure financial operations align with our mission and goals.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

 
Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounting for the full life-cycle of loans.
• Experience with non-profits and managing federal and state grants is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Ft. Pierce, FL.
