Trestle Studio proudly launched The Hotel Chalet, a new boutique lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Downtown Chattanooga at The Chattanooga Choo Choo, and is building a motivated team who are enthusiastic about creating a unique space where culture, elevated service standards, and authentic hospitality are paramount.

The property, formerly operated as The Choo Choo Hotel, features 127 guest rooms, including 25 within restored vintage train carriages, an original bar and restaurant concept, Elsie’s Daughter, with parlor, patio, and courtyard service, a 3,000SF ballroom, a fitness center, and an alpine pool. With an emphasis on the rich history of the hotel and surrounding area, and the boundless opportunity for adventure in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, The Hotel Chalet welcomes travelers who seek adventure, timeless style, and intrinsic comfort.

The Hotel Chalet is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Banquet and Event Servers to join our dynamic hospitality team. As a Banquet and Event Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have exceptional experiences during weddings, corporate events, banquets, and other special occasions. You will be responsible for providing top-notch service in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism, and ensuring the smooth operation of all events.

Key Responsibilities

Event Preparation:

- Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to event plans and specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and place settings.

- Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and ready for guests.

Banquet & Event Service:

- Provide attentive and courteous service to guests throughout the event, including serving food and beverages, refilling drinks, bussing and responding to guest requests promptly.

- Follow all service standards and protocols, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Coordination & Communication:

- Collaborate with event coordinators, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure the smooth flow of service.

- Communicate effectively with guests and team members to address any issues or special requests.

Post-Event Duties:

- Assist in breaking down and cleaning up after events, including clearing tables, storing equipment, and ensuring the event space is returned to its original condition.

- Handle and store equipment properly, reporting any damages or issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in banquet or event service is preferred but not required.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.

- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

- A positive attitude, professional appearance, and excellent customer service skills.

- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
