Title: Domain Architect (Aveva/AutoCAD) - Consultant
Location: 100% remote (client is based in San Diego, CA)
Hire Type: Contract (12+ months - eligible for extensions and full-time hire)
Compensation: $85-95/hour

Primary Purpose:
The AVEVA solutions architect will serve as the conduits between businesses and technology. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of a systems solution, covering all of GIS including AVEVA desktop, server and cloud based. Using their analytical and problem-solving skills, the AVEVA solutions architect will craft adaptable, comprehensive business solutions appropriate for each client. The AVEVA solutions architect will also have responsibility for AVEVA strategy and application roadmap, as well as integrations with other enterprise systems such as GIS and SAP.
Technical Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of a particular AVEVA solution offering
* Develop and execute a solution strategy and business plan that supports growth of AVEVA applications
* Act as visionary and strategist for AVEVA solution product area
* Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation
* Help business development life cycle by serving as a AVEVA product SME to help identify and qualify business development opportunities
* Develop and maintain vendor relationships within the product line
* Provide end to end solution and design details
* Lead development of formalized solution methodologies
* Build and maintain repository for deliverables, methodologies, and business development documents
* Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources. Collaborates with Project Managers and technical directors to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan, and serve as a lead as required, to implement the installation, customization, and integration efforts
* Provide quality assurance for services within the solution area
* Mentor and guide more junior technical resources
Qualifications:
The AVEVA solutions architects must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or another closely related field of study or equivalent experience. Training and certification in AVEVA solutions is desirable. The successful candidate must have 15+ years of direct experience in the deployment, configuration and management of AVEVA systems in an Electric and/or Gas utility environment. It is expected that this candidate is heavily technical.
Specifically for this request:
-AVEVA platform experience (E3D, AVEVANET, P&ID, Diagrams, Integration Services, Engineering, Electrical and Instrumentation, PML) - technical experience necessary
-High level understanding of architecture patterns
-Good communication, diagramming capabilities
-GIS, Utility, Autodesk, Maximo all a plus, but not required
