Job Description

High Country Appliances in Granby, CO is looking for an appliance installer to join our team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged.

Job Status: Full-time

Job Summary: The Delivery & Installation Crew Member is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery and installation of appliances to customers.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

● Ensure products are delivered and installed in a timely manner and follow a scheduled route for daily deliveries.

● Ensure inventory stock matches delivery requirements.

● Load, unload and organize product inventory from warehouse/store to delivery truck.

● Observe and examine appliances during operation to detect specific malfunctions such as loose parts or leaking fluid.

● Observe and test operation of appliances following installation and make any initial installation adjustments that are necessary.

● Refer to schematic drawings, product manuals, and troubleshooting guides to diagnose and repair problems.

● Instruct customers regarding operation and care of appliances and provide information such as emergency service numbers.

● Trace electrical circuits, following diagrams, and conduct tests with circuit testers and other equipment to locate shorts and grounds.

● Maintain vehicle cleanliness.

 

Requirements/Abilities: 

● Possess a valid driver's license.

● Must have a clean driving record with no moving violations.

● Proficient at driving and parking large vehicles.

● Must be able to pass a background check.

● English or Spanish speaking/writing

● Ability to read maps and/or utilize GPS devices.

● Experience using hand trucks and pallet jacks is a plus.

● Professional disposition with the ability to provide a positive customer service experience.

● Candidate should be dependable, hardworking and an effective communicator.

● Excellent time-management and organizational skills required.

● Ability to problem solve and navigate situations that don’t go as planned.

 

 

Education & Experience:

● Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent certification.

● Previous experience with delivery and installation of appliances preferred.

● Customer service experience preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

● Ability to sit, walk and crawl.

● Ability to stand, squat, kneel and dexterity to bend/twist neck and waist.

● Ability to walk up and down stairs/maneuver appliances while going up and down stairs.

● Ability for fine manipulation of hands as well as pushing, pulling and reaching above and below shoulder level.

● Physical ability to lift, pull and push products up to 50 pounds.

● Physical ability to lift, pull and push products that weigh in excess of 300+ pounds occasionally.

● Ability to carry items up to 6 feet occasionally.

 

Working Conditions:

● Weekdays:, day-time shift with over-time as needed.

● Occasional evenings and weekends.

● Works in a customer's home but may be exposed to extremes in temperature while traveling.

● May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.

● May have exposure to dust, gas, fumes or chemicals.

● Occasionally climb stairs and work off elevated surfaces.
